The staff at Eagan Valley Pediatrics is committed to providing families with the expertise necessary to help children grow and develop into healthy adults. We are a small practice dedicated to providing personalized care.
What is Pediatric Primary Care?
Pediatricians provide regular and preventative medical care for their patients. They treat generally healthy patients that come in for management of illnesses, injuries, or long-term non-severe conditions. The primary care provider is the first point of contact for most patients. We see patients from birth to age 21.
One of the most important duties of a pediatric primary care provider is to exam, diagnose, and make referrals to specialists as the patient's condition indicates. In these cases, the primary care provider is also responsible for managing the overall care of the patient and communicating with the specialists as needed.
New Patients Welcome!
The staff at Eagan Valley Pediatrics invites new families to arrange a complimentary meeting with one of our providers! We welcome all new families. Our providers see newborns who have been delivered at a variety of local hospitals.
We believe that children should be immunized. In an effort to protect our patients and the community, we are no longer accepting new families that choose not to immunize their children.

James E. Dufort
M.D.
Dr. Dufort received a Bachelor's degree in Biology
and his medical degree from the University of Minnesota. He did his internship and residency at the University of Colorado and a fellowship
in pediatric emergency medicine at Children's
Hospitals and Clinics-St. Paul. Dr. Dufort is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is married with 3 children
and 1 grandson. His interests include cycling, taekwondo, and spending time with his family.
Anna Havelka
C.P.N.P.
Anna completed her undergraduate degree at St. Mary's University
in Winona, MN and her Master's in Nursing at Vanderbilt University in
Nashville, TN. She is certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification
board. Outside of work; Anna enjoys running, sailing, and playing tennis.
Alyssa Sirek
C.P.N.P.
Alyssa completed her undergraduate at Minnesota State University, Mankato and Master’s degree from Maryville University in St. Louis. She is certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. She is married to her husband Zach and has
2 children.
She enjoys golfing, skiing, reading, and most of all spending time with her family.
MaKenzie Lindauer
C.P.N.P.
MaKenzie completed her undergraduate degree at Indiana University in Bloomington and her Master's degree in Nursing at IUPUI.
She is certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. MaKenzie is married to her husband Andrew, and they have a son and daughter in elementary school.
She moved recently from Indiana, and enjoys exploring, hiking, spending time with family and church.
Erin Mahaffey
C.P.N.P.
Erin completed her undergraduate and Master’s degree from The Ohio State University. She is certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board.
She is passionate about missionary work, and has helped serve the youth in Africa, Thailand and Laos. She enjoys running, paddle boarding, and game nights with friends and family.

Dr. Dufort sees newborn babies and children at United Hospital and Children's Hospital. We welcome all new babies from any hospital.
Our receptionists, Cathy, Savannah, Melissa, and Jean will happily make your appointments and greet you when you arrive.
Our fantastic Medical Assistants are Ann, Tabitha, and Jane. Emma and Lizzy are our wonderful clinical assistants. Not only do they assist our providers in caring for your children while in the clinic, they are also available to answer your questions and take your phone calls when you are worried at home.
Liz and Trish in our business office submit charges to your insurance carrier, answer billing questions, assist in making referrals, and are here to answer your questions about insurance plans.

When our office is closed, skilled nurses at Children's Triage Service will answer your call regarding your child's health concerns. Also, one of our providers is always available 24 hours a day.
